Background
The early beginnings of S.O Suppiah Jewellers
Mr. S.O. Suppiah Chettiar started his business in 1947 on a personal scale, doing door-to-door sales. The business mainly focused on estates. Jewelry orders were taken from customers and custom-made, engaging our craftsmen brought from India.
During the early part of the 1990s, the estates closed, and people started migrating to towns. Hence, the idea of opening a showroom was mooted, and our S.O. Suppiah Jewellers showroom, at our own premises at No. 81 Jalan Tengku Kelana, was opened on 9th November 1994.

Legacy in handmade jewellery
Mr. S.O. Suppiah Chettiar, the founder, brought vast trade experience. Presently, Mr. Palaniappan, the managing partner, oversees the family business with his brothers and skilled employees. With over 35 years of experience, our partners maintain traditional craftsmanship, specializing in handmade jewelry, particularly Thirumanglyam, with meticulous attention to auspicious timing guided by the pancangam.
